Daniela Schulz was born in Mannheim. She holds a diploma in Media and Communications. In 1992 she finished a practical course on direction with Lev Dodin at the Petersburg Malenkij Theatre (Russia). Since 1994 she is a freelance director and producer. Since 2001 she has been working as an executive producer for LOLA, the weekly women’s magazine on the french-german TV-channel Arte. Since 2003 she has been working on her thesis in the field of media studies (“Body fragments of the pictoral in the 21st century exemplified by the Catalan theatre group La Fura Dels Baus) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Siegfried Zielinski (Academy of Media Arts Cologne).
